Sunday Mornings - A Guide

We aim to make sure you feel welcome.
A Walkthrough of Our Typical Sunday Mornings

Walking into a new space can feel overwhelming, but we hope this brief guide helps you get familiar with the space and flow of our services, answers some of your questions, and shows you who to reach out to if you need further assistance.

Open Mind, Open Heart, Open Door

We are a progressive, Two Spirit and LGBTQ+ affirming, and intercultural community. Come just as you are.

Sunday Services

We offer two services during the fall, winter, and spring: the Bridge Service at 9:30 AM and the ConXion Service at 11:30 AM. In the summer (July–August), we combine them into one service.

Can’t make it in person? Watch live online or catch the recording anytime.

Fall, Winter, and Spring:
• 9:30 AM – Bridge Service: A blend of traditional and contemporary United
Church worship with both old and new songs.
• 11:00 AM – ConXion Service: Connecting the sacred and the secular through
uplifting, celebratory music.

Summer (July–August): 10 AM

We combine both services into one vibrant, joyful gathering that blends the styles
of Bridge and ConXion.

Walking In

On Sunday mornings, enter through the Sanctuary Entrance or the Commons Entrance.

You’ll find coat storage available.

Need help or have questions? Look for our designated greeters (wearing Korean rainbow stoles). They’ll be happy to assist you.

Informal Congregation

Our worship and Sunday mornings are casual and welcoming. Feel free to grab a coffee, move around, or head to the restroom during the service. We all have different needs and abilities—you know what works best for you, and that’s exactly what you should follow.

Coffee & Tea

Help yourself to coffee or tea at the Narthex or Commons locations—before or after the service.

Feel free to bring your drink into the sanctuary.

We want you to feel right at home.

Children, Youth, & Young Adults

After the Conversation with Children during worship, we offer thoughtfully designed programs for different age groups.

Learn More

While children and youth are always welcome to stay with their families throughout the service, we’re glad to offer the following programs:
Programs include:
• Sunday Morning Crèche (6 months–3 years)
• Sunday Morning Children’s Program (3–10 years)
• Sunday Morning Youth Program (11+ years) – After the ConXion Service only
Young Adults meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, sharing lunch
together at 12:15 PM.

Gender-Neutral Washrooms

Washrooms are located to the left after the Commons Entrance.

All washrooms are gender-neutral, and we think you’ll find them quite nice!

● Queer & Trans Choir

Oct 29, Nov 26, Dec 10 · 7–9 pm · Sanctuary Partnering with Sweet Flag Voice Studio and the Gay4Nature Collective, this intergenerational choir builds resilience, solidarity, and joy through song. Free for youth and young adults. → Details & Registration

After Service

After worship, stick around—have some coffee, chat with others… It’s not as easy as it sounds, right? Many people find that starting a conversation takes more courage than they expected.

Here are a few ways to make it feel a little easier:

Try chatting about the Question of the Day introduced during the service. It might feel a little awkward or challenging, but we encourage you to stay and give it a try.

After the second Sunday service, the Justice Fair offers another great chance to connect. Each table provides an opportunity to have meaningful conversations and explore the church’s justice and outreach initiatives.

And before you even have to step out of your comfort zone,
we’ll make an effort to get to know you first.
